Fresh Grout. New Silicone. Epoxy Sealed.
A Shower That Looks — and Stays — Like New.
When a shower starts looking its age — crumbling grout, peeling silicone, tiles that look tired no matter how hard you clean — it doesn't just need a surface fix. It needs a proper renewal. Surface Seal combines re-grouting and re-siliconing with epoxy coating so the shower looks revitalised and is sealed correctly from the inside out. One job. One visit. 24–48 hours.

The Full Picture. Done in One Visit.
Re-grouting, re-siliconing, and epoxy sealing aren't three separate decisions — they're steps in the same process. Surface Seal brings all three together to give your shower a revitalised look and ensure everything is properly sealed.
Re-Grouting
Grout fills the joints between tiles. Over time it absorbs water, cracks, discolours, and harbours mould. We remove the old grout with a grout saw and replace it with fresh, properly mixed and finished grout.
Re-Siliconing
Silicone seals the expansion joints at corners, edges, and the shower base. We remove the old bead entirely and apply a fresh, properly adhered silicone seal — clean bead, correct tool, properly cured.
Epoxy Sealing
A professional-grade roll-applied coating that bonds from the inside out. It fills micro-cracks and pores across the entire shower surface — tiles, grout, and joints — creating a continuous water-resistant barrier.
Why Epoxy Completes the Job
Fresh grout and new silicone restore the look — but without epoxy coating, moisture can still work through the surface over time. Epoxy bonds from the inside out and creates a continuous waterproof seal across the entire shower, not just the joints. The result is a shower that looks revitalised and stays properly sealed.
We'll Tell You Honestly What Your Shower Needs.
Before we recommend anything, we look at the full picture. Here's how we approach it — and what each scenario means for you.
When the full combination is right:
- Grout is deteriorated, cracked, or heavily moulded
- Silicone is peeling, hardened, or discoloured
- Shower has mild moisture ingress or wants a full revitalisation
- Property being prepared for sale or new tenancy
- You want the surface looking new AND properly sealed
When epoxy-only is right:
- Grout and silicone are in sound condition already
- Waterproofing has failed but the surface looks fine
- Had re-grouting done elsewhere and now needs proper sealing
- Want the epoxy bond without a full surface renewal
Surface Seal Australia does not offer re-grouting or re-siliconing as standalone services. These are always combined with epoxy coating, because renewing the surface without sealing it doesn't deliver a lasting result.
Not Every Shower Needs the Same Fix. Here's How We Figure Out Yours.
Homeowners — Revitalise & Seal
Your shower looks tired. The grout's gone off, the silicone's peeling, and cleaning doesn't fix it. We regrout, resilicone, and epoxy seal so it looks brand new and stays that way.
Landlords & Agents — Pre-Sale & Pre-Tenancy
A clean, sealed bathroom gets better rent and better offers. We make the shower look maintained and ensure everything is properly waterproofed before handover or listing.
Property Managers — Maintenance Requests
Tenant reports mouldy grout or peeling silicone. You need a reliable trade that shows up, does it right, and provides documentation. That's us.
Done Properly. Done Once. Back in Your Shower in 24–48 Hours.

Substrate Prep
Old grout cut back with a grout saw. Silicone fully removed. Surface cleaned and dried before anything new goes down.
Re-Grout & Re-Silicone
Fresh grout applied and finished to a professional standard. New silicone applied in one clean, continuous, correctly tooled bead.
Epoxy Coating
Epoxy applied over the renewed surface — bonding to tiles, grout lines, and joints. Creates a continuous water-resistant barrier.
Cure & Handover
Shower out of service for 24–48 hours. Written aftercare instructions provided. Most customers back in the shower next morning.
Honest Answers. Plain Language.
Will re-grouting fix my leaking shower?
Sometimes — but only if the underlying waterproofing is still intact. That's why Surface Seal doesn't do re-grouting on its own. We pair it with epoxy sealing so the surface renewal is backed by a proper waterproof bond. If you've had re-grouting done before and it failed, that's why — and the combined approach is the fix.
Do you do re-grouting without epoxy sealing?
No. Surface Seal Australia does not offer re-grouting or re-siliconing as standalone services. These are always combined with epoxy coating — because renewing the surface without sealing it doesn't deliver a lasting result. Epoxy can, however, be done without re-grouting where the grout is in sound condition.
How long does the shower need to be out of use?
After a combined re-grout, re-silicone, and epoxy treatment, the shower needs 24–48 hours before use. We'll give you exact timing and written aftercare instructions on the day. Most customers are back in their shower the following morning.
Can you do epoxy sealing without re-grouting?
Yes. If the grout and silicone are in sound condition, we can apply epoxy sealing as a standalone service. The same 24–48 hour turnaround applies. We'll confirm this during the assessment.
Is this worth doing before selling a house?
Almost always yes. A shower with fresh grout, clean silicone, and a properly sealed surface reads as well-maintained to buyers and building inspectors. It's one of the most cost-effective improvements before listing — and the 24–48 hour turnaround means it fits even a tight pre-sale schedule.
What's the difference between re-grouting and epoxy sealing?
Re-grouting replaces the grout between tiles — it restores the look but doesn't protect below the surface. Epoxy sealing bonds from the inside out and creates a continuous water-resistant barrier across the whole shower. We do both together — so the shower looks revitalised AND is properly sealed.
How do I know if I need the full treatment or just epoxy?
Send us a few photos and we'll tell you. If your grout is deteriorated, cracked, or heavily moulded, the full combination treatment is usually the right call. If the surface is in reasonable shape but you're getting a leak or want it properly sealed, epoxy alone may be enough. We'll give you an honest answer — no upsell.
